    About Landed:

Join us on our mission to help essential professionals build financial security near the communities they serve. Landed supports essential professionals, starting with educators, on the path to homeownership by providing a personalized team that includes a partner agent, a lender and a Landed homebuying expert. We help families navigate all of their options for buying a home, including our own shared equity down payment program. Our team provides free homebuying education and guidance as well as competitive offer reviews. Landed works with K-12, college, and university employees in expensive metro areas like San Francisco, Seattle, Denver, Los Angeles, San Diego, Washington D.C. and Boston.  We are expanding so we can serve even more essential professionals and metros!

Helping great essential professionals become homeowners helps to keep them engaged and excited about their roles in the community and improves outcomes for the people they serve. That's why our down payment program is financially supported by organizations like the DRK Foundation and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, who share our commitment to helping educators and other essential professionals live near the communities they serve. Recent press coverage of our work can be found in The New York Times, Forbes, NPR, and The Wall Street Journal. You can learn more about us at www.landed.com.

Our team has four core values that guide our decisions: Act with humility. Find what's fair. Prioritize the human. Own your growth.

    About the Role:

Our team at Landed is growing! We’re excited to be hiring a fantastic Sales Development Representative to support prospective homebuyers throughout the country. You will join an energetic, driven group of humans on the Sales team working together to ensure we provide a fantastic customer experience. This role reports to the Director of Sales.

You'll be joining a highly collaborative and cross-functional team that is passionate and focuses on finding win-win scenarios. Our work is deeply personal to our customers, and we want humans driving every part of the business thoughtfully. It is an ideal role for a mission-oriented, driven relationship builder who is energized by developing genuine connections to customers, and driving toward team goals. The result of this work: significantly more essential professionals on a path towards financial security, allowing them to commit to the profession and communities they love.

Your primary objectives are to decrease the time it takes for customers to hear back from a Landed human as well as to increase conversion.  You will do this through fast personalized outreach at key drop-off points for customers who are interested in learning more about Landed’s different programs. You will be backup for Relationship Managers across the United States and will provide additional coverage for all markets during business peaks.  You will be a key player focused on helping the Sales Team develop and maintain thoughtful and effective email, text, and phone engagement strategies.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will:

    • Lead phone conversations with customers: focused on delivering a fantastic experience and motivating prospective buyers to take positive steps in their home buying journey. After each conversation, deliver a consistent and high quality follow up, including full data tracking. Prioritize genuinely understanding who our customers are, what their goals are, and how our products/services may be able to help them achieve their goals. At Landed, we focus on what’s best for each individual buyer -- even when the best option may not result in revenue for Landed. We believe that the best way to build a sustainable and customer-focused organization is by doing the right thing for customers, every time.

    • Respond to inbound communications: Proactively respond to prospective homebuyers who reach out via phone, email, social media and web inquiries. Motivate customers during key milestones in the process, such as calling customers who have completed an application, but have not yet scheduled a phone call with their Relationship Manager yet. Ensure they are fully heard, and they receive a clear and timely response.

    • Manage customer outreach and the customer email boxes: Launch and test new email/phone outreach strategies from idea generation through qualified calls, and support how to best scale them. As a key supporter to the entire sales team, you develop best practices on email, phone, and text sales engagement, and ensure the whole team is up to date.

    • Work cross-functionally with the entire sales team: Support with key sales and operational tasks to ensure the sales team is ready to engage with buyers in new markets we launch in.

    • Support special projects: focuses may include improving the customer journey, presentation support, systems work and more.

You will bring the following strengths to this role:

    • Relationship Management. Success in this role hinges upon the ability to build and manage authentic, trusting working relationships. You motivate others to action through 1:1 relationships with diverse stakeholders. You’re a fantastic and empathetic listener, who brings an orientation toward partnership and finding ways to add value to all your relationships.

    • Task Manager. You love to-do lists and getting stuff done! You are able to drive results in multiple categories of work simultaneously. You’re energized by wearing different hats and juggling many activities.

    • Communication and Storytelling. You thrive at explaining difficult concepts simply.  You hear what people say, seek understanding, and listen to what they really mean. You adjust your communication style to meet the unique needs of people, and translate messages among different stakeholders internally and externally.

    • Motivated Team Player. You love working on teams, and supporting your teammates. You bring commitment and positivity to support customers through what can be a challenging process. Your positive energy compels people to gravitate towards Landed.  You assume best intent, you give people the benefit of the doubt and you’re able to commit to company decisions.

We think you’ll be great for this role if you're…

    • Experience preferably in customer service, sales, coaching, relocation/mobility or real estate.

    • Willing and able to support home buyers across multiple time zones.

    • A people’s person who’s energized by talking to a large, diverse group of homebuyers every day.

    • You have a comfort and a willingness to learn our systems (Hubspot, Slack, etc), and use data daily in your role.

    • Your natural mode is to be positive and to embrace change.

    • You’re comfortable with ambiguity.  You can take action without needing a fully developed roadmap.
