The Global Talent Mobility Team supports the relocation and immigration needs of Expedia Group and we’re looking for a Senior Global Mobility Specialist to help us execute upon our vision for a seamless relocation experience for existing employees and new joiners alike. What You’ll Do
- Provide subject matter expertise and strategic consultation to internal stakeholders based on an understanding of their business needs
- Proactively bring forward recommendations to enhance existing programs or build new programs, incorporating the latest industry best practices
- Build relationships as the trusted partner and primary point of contact for line managers, assignees, recruiters, HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and external suppliers on all aspects of a move (permanent relocations, assignments, commuter arrangements, business travelers, remote workers and internships)
- Partner closely with external mobility suppliers to ensure high service level standards and adherence to service level agreements
- Collaborate with internal partners such as People Operations, HRBPs, Geo HR, Recruiting, Payroll, Legal, Corporate Tax, Finance and Accounting to create forward-looking solutions on cross-functional processes
- Ensure employee and program compliance in partnership with internal and external partners
- Draft and maintain internal global mobility process guides and resources
- Deliver training to internal stakeholders
- Assist with creating Mobility content for our employees on People Hub (employee-facing platform)
- Support standard and ad-hoc reporting requests
- Assist People Team with various projects and initiatives, as assigned
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in Global Mobility/Relocation, with a preference for in-house experience
- Experience managing vendors
- Proven skills of working with a team, and have strong interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills
- Working knowledge of relocation/mobility policies and processes in line with industry standards
- Working knowledge of permanent relocations, short-term and long-term assignments, commuter arrangements, extended business travelers, frequent business travelers, remote workers and interns
- Knowledge and experience working with tax, legal, benefits, and immigration issues
- Able to navigate competing priorities in a demanding, dynamic organization and deliver results
- Strong consulting and influencing skills
- Strong proficiency in data reporting and ensure data integrity
- Develop creative solutions to address scaling challenges and drive process improvement
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams on workstreams, projects and processes that impact the work of the Mobility team
- Problem solver with strong project management, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong competency in core professional skills (responsiveness, follow-through, flexibility, initiative, and tact)
- Excellent organizational skills, with a tremendous attention to detail
- Able to communicate sometimes complex messages and sensitive updates to a wide and diverse audience
- Strong proficiency in MS Office 365 – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience using Workday and Service Now a plus
